Nominate your Tree of the Year 2020

Tree of the Year celebrates the best trees the UK has to offer. We see trees as markers of great history and exciting stories that really mean something to their community. So whether your tree simply brightens up your daily walk or has been around for thousands of years - we want to hear from you!

If your nominated tree is shortlisted, it will go forward to a public vote and, thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery, it could be eligible for up to £1,000 of tree care products and services to help secure its future and celebrate its value.

We realise that choosing a tree during the coronavirus lockdown may be difficult. Please make sure you follow Government advice and don’t make an unnecessary journey to photograph a tree you want to nominate, instead perhaps try and find an image online, or nominate a tree you pass as part of your daily exercise.

Let us know all about the tree you'd like to nominate, and then fill in your details on the next page.

Tree of the Year is usually a UK wide competition. This year however, we face unique challenges and have made the tough decision not to run the competition in Northern Ireland. Instead the NI team are focussing their efforts on celebrating the 20th anniversary of Woods on Your Doorstep. Tree of The Year will be back in all nations in 2021, so if you have found a special tree in Northern Ireland, please nominate it this time next year.
